Meet the Agent: Tim Lynch
Tim Lynch has been in the real estate industry for the past decade, navigating the complexities of the market with a strong focus on building relationships and delivering exceptional service. His journey began long before real estate, starting with his six-year service in the Navy from 2006-2012, including a deployment to Guantanamo Bay. After leaving the Navy, Tim pursued an MBA at Chapman University, which helped shape his business-minded approach to real estate when he fully committed to the profession in 2014.
Raised in Olympia and a proud graduate of Black Hills High School (Go Wolves!), Tim has deep roots in the community. His family—his wife, also a local, and their two boys—keeps him grounded in the area they love. "Family is what keeps us here, along with the sense of community," Tim shares.
A Love for Olympia's Neighborhoods
When it comes to local real estate, Tim has a special connection with Olympia’s diverse neighborhoods. His personal favorites include Carlyon and Briggs, where he lives with his family. “We love the proximity to everything, from local eateries to the unique architectural mix,” he explains. He appreciates the variety of styles—historic homes, mid-century moderns, and new builds—that offer something for everyone.
Steamboat Island is another area Tim admires for its tight-knit community and beautiful homes, making it a great option for those wanting a little more space without sacrificing convenience.
Life Beyond Real Estate
Outside the office, you’ll often find Tim on the golf course. "I love Tumwater Valley and Salish Cliffs, but The Home Course in Dupont is another favorite." His weekends are filled with family activities, often spent at Spencer Lake or supporting his sons at their soccer, basketball, and baseball games. “We’re always doing something as a family, and sports are a big part of that,” he adds, noting how these activities help him and his family connect with other local families.
Hidden Gems in Olympia
Tim’s favorite hidden gems around Olympia include Captain Little, the local toy store, and the public library, where his boys enjoy regularly picking out new books. “My boys love to fish, right now they can’t get enough of it,” he shares. For fishing gear and expertise, West Marine is their go-to spot. Other favorite spots include Humble Cow and the Tumwater Craft District. Briggs Taphouse and Frenchies on 4th are also on the list for Tim’s family because of the allergen friendly options which their kids enjoy.
A Heart for Service and Community
Tim’s dedication to community service extends beyond real estate. He serves on the Multicare Capital Foundation Board, where the focus is on improving women’s health and expanding much needed services such as in-home care programs in Thurston County. This cause is close to his heart, as he witnessed firsthand the challenges of accessing care while caring for his father. He also enjoys volunteering by coaching his sons’ sports teams, and contributing to Greene Giving, which is Olympic Sotheby's International Realty’s annual collaborative giving effort that donates funds to organizations supporting children, housing and the military in the local community.
Real Estate with a Purpose
For Tim, real estate is more than just transactions; it's about helping clients move forward into exciting new chapters of their lives. Whether relocating within Olympia or moving from out of state, he finds fulfillment in the joy his clients experience when they find their dream home. "I love seeing people excited about their next phase in life,” Tim says. His approach is centered on three pillars: relationships, education, and communication. He believes that informed clients are less stressed, which is why he makes a point of educating them about every step of the process.
By fostering trust, providing clarity, and building lasting relationships, Tim Lynch ensures that every client gets the highest level of service. “Real estate is a relationship business. I want to ensure the clients and families I work with have a great experience and feel confident throughout the entire process.”
Whether you're buying or selling, Tim’s client-focused approach and deep connection to Olympia make him a trusted partner for any real estate journey.
