I am looking forward to meeting and working with you! Growing up in Seattle as the middle child in a family of 11, I am a natural connector and people person. You could say I grew up as part of a team. I enjoy creating relationships. It is no wonder I chose to work for Olympic Sotheby's International Realty because we work as part of a team environment. Up until this point, I have found the most joy and meaning working and serving others both at work and in my community.Olympia holds a special place in my heart. It is where I spent every summer of my youth playing in and around the hills of Summit Lake. Fortunately, my husband and I chose to return to this same beautiful area 24 years ago to live, play and raise our 4 children. Olympia is a vibrant, family-oriented community rich in the arts. There are plenty of opportunities to experience the great outdoors and it has wonderful schools.I enjoy learning and teaching. I graduated from CWU in Education. I have worked as a fulltime teacher and as a substitute teacher for many years. I brought many of those skills I learned in the education field to my real estate business. I am a good communicator, organized, collaborative, creative, adaptive and hardworking. Just as I did in the classroom, I am willing to go the extra mile for you! I possess honesty and integrity. I will help educate you on the process of real estate transactions.I understand the importance of planting roots. I've spent 20 years of my marriage as a military spouse. While my husband was active duty, we spent several years calling many different places home including Oklahoma, New Mexico, Salt Lake City, Florida, Arkansas, Georgia and a 4-year assignment to Okinawa, Japan. I have been fortunate to have experienced the world through travel. I enjoy learning and experiencing different cultures. From my experience I have learned no matter where you are from, family and having a place to create a home and plant roots in a community is of vital importance no matter how long you live at any address.I enjoy serving my community as a volunteer. Starting from an early age my parents instilled the importance of community and service. I remember my family and I would regularly deliver donuts to Seattle's Skid Row Service Center and help the disabled at my brother's summer program for the disabled. Nothing feels better than reaching out and lifting people up. I currently serve or have served as a volunteer for Griffin School, Griffin PTO, Girls Scouts, youth sports, Special Olympics, Officers' Wives' Club, the Food Bank, soup kitchen, church Childcare coop, middle school youth leader, youth summer camp counselor and for my community association. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, reading, traveling, gardening, cooking and spending time outdoors especially on the water. I'd be honored to serve you during this exciting time!
